Experience Interact with Shiba Inus (Shiba Inu Village)

Interact with Adorable Shiba Inus
Their Friendliness Is Irresistible
You can enjoy spending time with around 100 purebred Shiba Inus, lovingly raised by the owner who was captivated by this breed, which is also designated as a natural monument. Just watching these friendly Shiba Inus is sure to soothe you. The walking course allows children to hold the leash, making it popular with families. It’s also recommended as a trial experience before adopting a Shiba Inu yourself.

The Charm of Shiba Inus—Both Dignified and Adorable
As one of Japan’s most iconic dog breeds, Shiba Inus captivate with a unique blend of dignity and cuteness. Their simple yet powerful expressions, triangular ears, and curled tails are all part of their irresistible appeal. Shiba Inu Village is a place where you can fully experience everything that makes these dogs special. There are several options, including the “Kennel Tour Course,” where staff guide you through the kennels to meet dogs of all ages, the “Puppy Interaction Course,” where you can play with one puppy for 30 minutes, and the “Adult Dog Walking Course,” where you can take an adult dog for a 2 km walk. The most recommended experience is the “Walking Course,” which offers a panoramic view of the Five Peaks of Aso. If you find a puppy you especially like, you can also consult with the staff about adopting one.
